COMMUNITY OUTREACH

All self-worth is coming from your inner strength and knowledge. I recognized the great potential of the philanthropic and I wanted to seek to maximize its impact by responding creatively to what community needed. I've created 501(c)(3) a non-profit organization platform where I could share my expertise and knowledge of the music industry providing music education to underserved communities in the Los Angeles area. Many Grammy Award-winning artists have joined our advisory board to support this cause.

In 2015, Miho founded a 501(c)(3) NPO, iMusic United under the umbrella of her Academy.

The iMusic United is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, devoted to providing high-caliber music education to all. Today, we provide music education to 3000 students at low-income housing communities, senior homes and inner-city school districts in the Los Angeles area. Under the vision and leadership of Miho Nomura many Grammy Award-winning artists have joined our advisory board; Terrace Martin (producer, Kendrick Lamer), Marlon Williams (producer, Snoop Dogg), Terry Lewis (producer Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Bruno Mars), Billy Osborne (producer, the late Ray Charles) and Bobby Taylor (discovered the Jackson 5).

Her organization is also funded by the ASES program (proposition 49, California Education Code (EC) 8482) and supported by influential multinational companies including Roland, Conn-Selmer, Saga Music, Guitar Center, and Aquila. iMusic United was established in partnership with the California State University Los Angeles for the volunteer program and in association with UNHCR, NAMM, Levitt Foundation.
